Transcript of review by Graham Hutton
Yet another excellentnight of music at Church Crookham thanks to Monica Madgwick and Boogaloo Promotions Group.
The Neil Sadler Band plays 'Past to Present' - the album tour.
I'd never hear of Neil until a couple of weeks ago, but I know if Monica puts it on then it's worth going to see and I wasn't wrong.
Described as a Power Delta Blues Trio they gave us two great sets of originals and covers.
Neil, it turns out, had a studio and has spent most of his working life producing othere people's albums, Larry Miller to name just one, and playing in other peoples band.
I don't know why Neil didn't start his own band many years ago.
With Ray Barwell on drums and Kev Langman on bass, he had the audience on their feet at the end after a whole lot of cheering between songs.
A top night.
COMMENTS:
Trevor Howard... "that review captures the "WOW" factor that Neil Sadler has brought to the blues-infused music scene in 2024-5".
